Harvest

The Agrihood, Built Around a Working Farm

Harvest is a 1,200 acre Hillwood community that spans Argyle and Northlake, and it is built around an idea most master planned communities do not attempt. It is an agrihood: there is a working farm at the center of it, with community gardens, orchards, and a greenhouse residents use to start seedlings and grow through the year. Farmhouse Coffee and Treasures operates out of a hundred year old farmhouse. Central Park runs about a mile and a half through the community, and The Fit Barn is an indoor and outdoor facility with a lap pool, a volleyball court, and a basketball court. There is an 11 acre lake with a fishing dock, resort style pools, an amphitheater, dog parks, playgrounds, and trails throughout. Three elementary schools sit inside the community. Because Harvest crosses two cities and two school districts, the address decides which schools serve a home, and that is worth confirming before you fall for a house.

Common Questions

Harvest Questions and Answers

Where is Harvest and what city is it in?+

Harvest is a master planned community in Argyle, TX, in Denton County along the Highway 114 corridor, about 20 minutes from DFW International Airport. Mail goes to Argyle and the community is inside Argyle city limits.

What school district serves Harvest?+

Harvest is served by Argyle ISD and Northwest ISD, depending on the address. Attendance zones are set by the district and can change, and a specific address is the only reliable way to confirm which campuses serve a home. The Texas Education Agency publishes accountability data for every district and campus in the state. We can pull the zoning for any address in the community.

What amenities does Harvest have?+

The amenity set at Harvest: A working farm with community gardens and orchards; A greenhouse residents use year round; Farmhouse Coffee and Treasures, in a hundred year old farmhouse; Central Park, about a mile and a half through the community; The Fit Barn, with a lap pool, volleyball, and basketball; An 11 acre lake with a fishing dock; Resort style pools; An amphitheater, dog parks, playgrounds, and trails. The farm is the thing that makes Harvest different from every other master planned community in this part of Denton County.

Who builds in Harvest?+

Toll Brothers has built in Harvest, among others, and the lineup rotates as sections open. Which builders have inventory changes constantly, and so do their incentives. Worth knowing before you walk a model: the on site sales agent represents the builder, not you, and builder contracts are not the standard TREC form. Having your own representation costs you nothing in a typical new build transaction and changes what you can negotiate on price, upgrades, and rate buydowns.

How much do homes cost in Harvest?+

It depends on the builder, the plan, the lot, and whether the home is new or resale, and prices move. Rather than quote a range that goes stale, we keep current Harvest listings with live list prices on this site. Ask us for everything active in the community, including homes that have not reached the public portals yet, and a comparative market analysis on anything you are considering.

Is Harvest new construction or resale?+

Both, at the same time, which is unusual and is worth understanding before you start. New construction means choosing a lot and finishes and waiting, or taking a completed inventory home. Resale means the landscaping is in, the window coverings are up, and the upgrades the first owner paid for are already there. The two compete directly on price in this community, and which one wins depends on the month and on what the builders are offering. We walk both with clients.

Does Harvest have an HOA?+

Yes. The HOA funds the amenity set, the common areas, and the events calendar, and the assessment and what it covers should be confirmed for the specific home and section you are considering. HOA documents, including the financials, the rules, and the resale certificate, are reviewed during the option period. Restrictions on short term rentals, pets, and exterior modifications can be material. We pull those documents for any home before you are committed.
